Bylaws, Policies and Code of Conduct

The Port Colborne Girls Hockey Association (PCGHA) is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and transparent environment for all players, coaches, volunteers, and families. The following documents outline our organizational structure, policies, and procedures to ensure fairness, accountability, and compliance with Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) regulations.

  Organizational Documents

🧾 Code of Conduct and Incident Reporting

  • OWHA Code of Conduct
Outlines the standards of behaviour expected from all players, coaches, officials, parents, and spectators. All members are responsible for conducting themselves in a manner that upholds the integrity and values of the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association and the PCGHA.

🚫 Harassment, Abuse, Bullying and Misconduct Policy

The PCGHA has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment, abuse, bullying, or misconduct.
We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all participants — both on and off the ice.

This policy applies to all players, coaches, team staff, officials, volunteers, parents, and spectators involved in Association activities.
It defines unacceptable behaviours such as verbal or physical abuse, discrimination, intimidation, and online harassment, and outlines the process for reporting and investigating such incidents.

Key principles include:

  • Respect and Dignity: Every participant has the right to enjoy hockey in an environment free from fear, humiliation, and harassment.

  • Accountability: All reports of harassment, bullying, or misconduct will be taken seriously and handled in accordance with OWHA protocols and applicable laws.

  • Confidentiality: Complaints will be treated sensitively and shared only with those directly involved in the review and resolution process.

  • Education and Prevention: Coaches, players, and volunteers are encouraged to review the OWHA resources on Safe Sport and participate in Respect in Sport training.
