If you want to leave the Association, you simply need to register with a different Association. This will automatically notify the Association registrars on Ramp to issue a release. No requests are needed.
The OWHA Permission to Tryout form for the 2024-2025 season outlines the necessary steps for players who wish to attend tryouts hosted by another OWHA association or an OWHA independent team. Here are the key points:
- Eligibility: To participate in tryouts outside their home association, a player must either receive a Permission to Tryout or a release from her last registered OWHA association or independent team.
- Valid Dates: The Permission to Tryout forms are valid from 12:01 am on April 17th, 2024, until May 31st, 2024, and again from August 15th, 2024 until a date to be announced by the OWHA.
- Application Process:
- Submission: Players should submit the completed document at least 72 hours in advance to the President, Vice President, and Registrar to sign off on.
- Avoid Blank Dates: Ensure that no dates are left blank; specify the dates for the tryout group seeking approval.
- New Application: A new application is required for every team tryout attending.
- Contact Restrictions:
- Association Team Members: No other association team member can contact a player without permission from the home Association President or their designate.
- Tampering Warning: Failure to follow this rule is considered tampering and can result in penalties for both the association, coaching staff, and the player.
