Great News Wave Nation. We applied for assistance with the Canadian Tire JumpStart Relief Fund and were successful in our application for 2 grants. The first grant covers the costs associated to run our FUNdamentals programs so it is no charge to participants wanting to learn to play hockey. The only thing required is equipment to participate. The second grant goes towards general operating costs. We have always strived in the Port Colborne Girls Hockey to hold the line on being one of the best values in hockey across the country, and I believe at our current fees that we have to be at the very least close, if not the cheapest youth hockey experience around. This year was going to be tough to make ends meet, however these extra funds will ensure that we have no cuts to our programs.
